About kerri

I'm a twenty-something kinesiology and applied health student from the Canadian Prairies. I love Jesus, cupcakes, notebooks, kids, guitars and travel. I like kicking asthma's ass, adapted physical activity, helping people reach their full potential, and curing ignorance.

Active kids, healthy futures

MPETA

This is what I’m reading now.  As a kinesiology/developmental studies major, it’s a GREAT read so far.  Also a great read as a person who hates sports and is majoring in kinesiology. You know.

ninety two – gear

outside, just killing time and making noise.  and outside, the daylight comes, the daylight goes . . .

weightless, nada surf

Went to Costco and Canadian Tire today.  Check out the sweet gear I managed to score – NewBalance Hydration Pack [which doubles as a backpack and was mostly purchased for the purpose of the backpack part], pink flowery bike helmet and turquoise track jacket-y deal with THUMB HOLES!

My mom bought this all for me.  She is awesome. :)   GO MOM!

ninety one – upload

photo (45)

i’m feeling overwhelmed, overwhelmed, it’s getting out of line . . .

adolescents, incubus

This is what it takes to catch up with a 365 photo backlog (and the iPod which was taking this picture].

ninety – meet

a beautiful baby blue sky that’s looking up at you . . .

baby blue, the early november

Jess Jess, Lucas and Kelly.  Jess and Lucas met for the first time.  Also, Lucas went to Starbucks for the first time at ten months old.

We’ll make a Starbucks lover of the boy yet!  Kelly, can you please influence your son to become a barista please? :)

eighty nine – car wash

say what you will, say what you mean.  you could never offend, your dirty words come out clean . . . clean.

clean, incubus

After a bit of an automatic car wash fail in which we had to get two big vehicles to back up out of the car wash and then drove away, Danielle washing Suzi the Suzuki :) .

I love this girl.

eighty eight – amygdala

IMG_0471 and time it turns out might be something that i should mind, i need a little more passion at the end of the rope […] i got one big reason, but nothing lasts forever

resident hero

This day, quietly, was about Donald and I becoming a couple.  I didn’t know it when I took this picture, but irony would have it that this day would be the day we broke up.  It is mutual, we are very okay.  The irony is that while I found the picture in the psych department simply labeling the amygdala, the amygdala is responsible for emotional reactions and memory.  Oh irony.

eighty seven – drops

IMG_0469

i wish the raindrops on the glass
would let me join their dance
i’d spin and twirl and laugh with them
and drown my thoughts per chance

watchin’ the rain, katy rose

I apparently liked the water on the shower glass this day.  That or it was 10 PM and I didn’t yet have a picture.

eighty six – quick ride

IMG_0465

we dream on public access, vis-a-vis text and graphics, with a bar stool, makes sense to me . . . if you’re going to ride your bike, pick me up when you come by, doesn’t matter where you’re going . . .

Bike, Driftless Ponyclub

Ride at the gym, followed by class and paper writing.  I’m so exciting.

eighty five – dentist

Photo0663

never act my age, but you can tell by the lines in my smile that i have been around for awhile. so insecurities are about as useful as trying to put the pin back in the grenade . . .

Smile Lines, Incubus

Dentist, yo.  Highly attractive picture with the Blue Thing, of course.  Always fun [not].  Wisdom teeth still coming in, unsure of HOW they will as of yet.  He told me “If you were my daughter, I’d leave ‘em in.  So that’s what we’re doing while we wait.”

God knows I’ve had enough stuff done to my teeth in my life.

eighty four – never stop

IMG_0452

get your gear, load it up, i’m gonna hold it down, start with nothin’, gotta build it up, if you got a dream, you gotta follow it up – let’s get moving into action.

let’s get movin’ into action, skye sweetnam

Never stop.  Dean and I found ourselves working out in a hotel “gym”, which contained a treadmill, an elliptical, a bike and exercise ball – and two TVs!
